Those who took the ECR stretch this weekend couldn't have
missed it at all - huge posters of Vijay lined up like soldiers on the
sidelines. The biggest surprise was that the star himself came up to the
entrance to greet the guests. (Get this, he was there even before most
photographers could make it!).
The atmosphere was festive, even as the actor dressed in a simple grey shirt,
made it to the hall. Here are some of our favourite moments:
1. Gorgeous angels - Hansika in a regal brown garb, Sridevi owning it in a
simple sari, Shruti as her bubbly self. But guess who outdid them all?
Nandita stole the show with a sexy blue number.
2. Punch dialogues - "Puli is apt for you," says Director SJ
Suryah taking a dig at the other movie titled Payyum Puli. TR of course
stormed the show with his typical rhyme and reason: "Vijay helped Simbu
despite him being another star's fan."
3. And a birthday baby - It was rockstar DSP's birthday yesterday and what a
day it turned out to be. A 3D musical cake was cut and the composer shared his
cake and joy with Vijay and other stars.
The event had the looks, the stars, the twists and a happy ending; we hope the
